Dr. Gebrane is currently heading the department of psychiatry at the Clemenceau Medical Center, in affiliation with Johns Hopkins International.

Dr. Gebrane was born in New Jersey, USA. He obtained a B.S. degree in biology from Texas A&M University, followed by a Master's Degree in biomedical sciences prior to attending medical school. He completed his psychiatry internship and residency at the Medical College of Virginia, where he served as a chief resident. He then completed a two year clinical and research fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry at Columbia University in New York where he served as a chief fellow. He holds numerous faculty appointments including an assistant professor at the State University of New York (SUNY). He has served as Chief of consultation-liaison service, outpatient clinics in New York and other locations. Dr. Gebrane has authored, designed and is involved in numerous research and developmental programs. He is active in the lecture circuit locally and internationally,  and has had numerous media appearances.

Dr. Gebrane believes in a very personalized and tailored approach to his patients, incorporating all facets of medicine and psychiatry, with a lot of focus on the biopsychosocial model.

Dr. Gebrane is also involved with numerous charities and organizations hence providing psychiatric care to the underprivileged.
